The Life Cycle Initiative was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) in 2002.
One of the programmes of this initiative is the Life Cycle Inventory , which is divided in several task forces, one of them, Task Force 5.
Task Force 5 is a practical one involving many regions (teams from novice and experts) and aiming at
- practical involvement,
- on the job training (training the trainers),
- capacity building at universities,
- perational “field tests” for TF2 and 3 and I/0 or hybrid LCI,
- assist in finding funding.
The aim of this website is to share information about the Life Cycle Initiative, specially, TF5: Capacity Building and Database Development.
